Research Area Specialist Intermediate, University of Michigan Institute for Firearm Injury

Cindi Thronson is a Research Area Specialist at the Institute for Firearm Injury Prevention. She is the project manager for the Michigan School Safety Initiative which is focused on working with schools to provide training and technical assistance to improve school safety and prevent school violence through the implementation of evidence-based safety programs and strategies. Prior to joining the Institute, she worked at the Prevention Research Collaborative at the University of Michigan School of Public Health at the National Center for School Safety in addition to various injury prevention studies. She holds a BS in Biology from the University of Iowa and an MPH in Health Behavior & Health Education from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
