Research Area Specialist

Laney Rupp provides project management support to evaluations of school and community-based interventions for violence and substance use. She is interested in community-engaged greening and revitalization as a tool for community empowerment and violence prevention. She specializes in qualitative methods to examine the implementation and outcomes of interventions to promote health and reduce violence, including sexual violence and firearm violence. Prior to her work with PRC, she served as an AmeriCorps member and managed volunteer engagement programs in Santa Cruz County, California. She holds her MPH in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies from Scripps College.
